Who Is Constantine Markopoulos?
Constantine Markopoulos (Κωνσταντίνος Μαρκόπουλος / コンスタンティン・マーコポロス), descendant of the storied seaside fortress of Monemvasia off the east coast of the Peloponnese, is an electronic producer and DJ working at the intersection of orchestral sensibility and underground dance culture.
Raised between Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC, he began his musical training as a concert violinist before transitioning to contrabass during his formative years in chamber orchestra; an experience that shaped a lasting focus on timbre, harmony, and musical depth.
Later exposure to rave culture and the southern California desert festival scene expanded his sonic language toward analog synthesis and cinematic club forms. Immersed in this environment, he began crafting original works that blend field recordings, harmonic exploration, and dancefloor momentum.
