In Untrue, Burial transports you to his personal sound dimension. It is so creative, so textured, so spacious, so foreign, yet also somehow familiar. The use of field sounds spoke to me deeply. I love that I can play certain tracks at a chilled out moment or flip an audience on their head with one of the more energetic songs. Tasty, tasty, tasty beats.

Highlighting albums I enjoy. Because in the world of music, sharing is caring.
Niklas Paschburg – Oceanic
Where has this ginger with a serious knack for “tickling the ivory” been hiding for so long? I recently stumbled on Niklas’ music, promptly listened to his entire available work, and had to share. A lovely crossover of classical piano and electronic soundscapes. What more do you need?
Leifur James – A Louder Silence
This album dominated my ear drums in 2022. I continue to revisit it regularly because every listen pulls back another layer to what strikes me as an endless painting of sound. It is equal parts jazz, electronic, soul, ambient, guitar forward, and totally unlike anything else. My few words will do it no justice; listen for yourself. Well done Mr. James.
